Why Miramar clients choose Sideshow Tattoo and Piercing

Miramar is home to Marine Corps Air Station Miramar and a large community of service members, civilians and families who live and work around it. We use “Miramar” for the surrounding area and for everyone who lives, works or is stationed nearby. If you are looking for a walk-in tattoo shop with a free consultation, we are about a 20 to 30 minute drive from the base.

  • Free consultations. Drop by, talk through size, style and placement, and leave with a clear plan. There is no pressure to book.
  • Walk-ins welcome. We are open until 8pm Sunday to Thursday and until 10pm on Friday and Saturday.

Getting here from Miramar

Pacific Beach is roughly 12 to 14 miles from Miramar.
  1. From Miramar Road, Kearny Villa Road or Miramar Way, get on I-805 South or I-15 South.
  2. Take SR-52 West toward the coast.
  3. Where SR-52 ends, merge onto I-5 South.
  4. Take the Grand Avenue / Garnet Avenue exit in Pacific Beach and head west on Garnet to 1062 Garnet Ave.

Drive time, parking and timing

Outside rush hour, expect 20 to 30 minutes. SR-52 and I-5 are busiest on weekday mornings and late afternoons, so a midday or evening trip is easier. We are open until 8pm Sunday to Thursday and until 10pm on Friday and Saturday.

Parking: street parking is available along Garnet Avenue and on the side streets nearby. If the first block is full, try the streets a little further from the strip.

Coming off base or from the neighborhoods around Miramar Road, the route is the same once you reach SR-52.
