Getting here from Scripps Ranch

Pacific Beach is roughly 17 miles from Scripps Ranch.
  1. Take Scripps Ranch Boulevard or Scripps Poway Parkway to I-15 South.
  2. Take SR-52 West toward the coast.
  3. Where SR-52 ends, merge onto I-5 South.
  4. Take the Grand Avenue / Garnet Avenue exit in Pacific Beach and head west on Garnet to 1062 Garnet Ave.

Drive time, parking and timing

Outside rush hour, expect 25 to 35 minutes. I-15 South and SR-52 are busiest on weekday mornings and late afternoons. Midday and evening trips are the easiest. We are open until 8pm Sunday to Thursday and until 10pm on Friday and Saturday.

Parking: there is street parking along Garnet Avenue and the surrounding side streets. Evenings and weekends are busier, and the side streets a block or two off Garnet are usually your quickest option.

Whether you start near Lake Miramar, Scripps Ranch Boulevard or Pomerado Road, you will be on I-15 within a few minutes.

Around Scripps Ranch

Scripps Ranch is known for its eucalyptus-lined streets, Lake Miramar and its trail loop, and Scripps Ranch High School. It feels more like a village than a district of a big city, which is part of why residents tend to choose a tattoo studio carefully.

Lake Miramar’s loop is popular with runners, walkers and cyclists, and that is worth thinking about once you have a new tattoo. Keep a healing tattoo out of direct sun and avoid sweaty, dusty workouts until your artist says it is ready, and follow the aftercare instructions you are given. Our tattoo aftercare page has the basics.
